An upcoming Dublin event will connect the principles of World Humanitarian Day with practical skills that can be used in everyday community service.
The programme will be held at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin and will present methods for improving communication, resolving difficulties and organising help.
The event reflects the view that humanitarian action is not limited to major emergencies. Practical help provided at community level can make a eu news 24/7 meaningful difference to people facing personal or social difficulties.
The methods presented are connected with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers programme, developed from the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The programme is guided by the principle that “Something can be done about it” and provides training in subjects such as communication, conflict resolution, organisation and assistance to others.
Volunteer Ministers from the Church of Scientology have worked alongside community groups, charities and emergency personnel in many countries.
The Dublin programme will also underline the connection between humanitarian service, civic responsibility and respect for human dignity.
